Relief in Asia

One night, while distributing food, our team came across an elderly man who had not eaten in days. As they served him a warm meal, his eyes filled with tears of relief as he murmured “I thought I would never eat again”. Another family expressed deep gratitude as they had After immediate hunger needs were addressed, the team started distributing medicines and dry rations and of course taking time to pray with each family. They watched as God brought hope and joy into this community.

Many of them lost their homes and churches, some even lost their families. This was the case for one young boy who lost both of his parents at the hands of a violent mob as they were fleeing the city. Another family took the young boy, adopting him as their own. However, as the weeks went by and food supply ran low they grew concerned that they would not be able to feed him. When our team came to distribute dry rations the father told them “We were ready to go hungry, but what about the boy? How could we let him starve?”. Now, with a food pack full enough to last them for two months, hope was restored in their hearts once again.

So far, we have been able to successfully distribute dry rations and medicines to 2,000 people. 30 volunteers gathered together to help get these supplies to those in need. However, they were not just meeting practical needs, they were also bringing hope and the assurance that God is still with this community in the depth of their hardship.
